NAE Board Picks Pawlenty
In a recent poll of their board of directors, the NAE found that Tim Pawlenty held a strong lead for the Republican nomination for President, drawing support from 45% of those surveyed. Mitt Romney, the overall leader in most national polls, was a distant second at 14%. The poll results aren’t necessarily surprising considering Pawlenty attends Leith Anderson’s (the president of the NAE) church. Still, the poll may be a signal that Evangelicals are about to break for Pawlenty after the news of Huckabee’s decision to not seek the office.
